Pesach
The Haggadah

The Haggadah is the book we use to conduct the Pesach Seder. The name 'Haggadah' comes from the Hebrew word 'to tell'. The Haggadah tells us the story of the birth of the Jewish Nation.

It was composed by the Sages about two thousand years ago and comprises selections from the Torah, Psalms and Talmud.

The Haggadah was first printed in Spain in 1482. Since then over two thousand editions have been published and it has been translated into almost every modern language.
